Nepal is in one of the most fragile states of its history, with growing anger and suspicion directed toward the country’s political leadership. While former Prime Minister K.P. Oli has resigned, many people have started questioning why Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” is not being held accountable or even openly discussed, especially when his family remains safe amid chaos. There are widespread fears that he may be the hidden mastermind behind the sudden release of prisoners, many armed with dangerous weapons, who are now linked with cases of rape, theft, harassment, and violence that have terrorized ordinary citizens. The burning of Singha Durbar, a symbol of Nepal’s governance and democracy, was never supposed to happen, and it reflects how far instability has spread.
If a suitable, visionary, and responsible leader does not emerge soon, Nepal risks losing its identity, security, and sovereignty to corruption, crime, and political games. The country urgently needs leadership that protects the people instead of exploiting their struggles. In my opinion, the situation can only be handled by restoring law and order immediately, holding those responsible accountable, and bringing in honest leadership that truly works for the nation’s future.
